Roger Thorburn - Company Founder & Chairman

45 years' experience in civil and structural engineering design and project management. Typical projects as Team Leader or Project Engineer include:- Infrastructure systems; Hydroelectric and geothermal power projects; Tunnelling, Earth dams, bridges and other major civil engineering structures; Land development; Commercial, industrial and residential building developments; Shopping centres and recreational facilities.

Thorburn Consultants (NZ) Ltd are pleased to maintain our close working relationship with Roger as he moves into a less "hands on" role with the company.

Craig Thorburn - Director

20 years' experience in the design and operation of major international aquariums. Former curator of both Kelly Tarlton's Underwater World, Auckland, NZ and Melbourne Aquarium, Australia.

Specialist experience includes:- Life-support and marine infrastructure design; Aquarium development and aquatic/zoological exhibits; Aquatic animal health and management; Land-based and aquatic environmental management; Live animal acquisition and transport; Project team management for environmental projects, including Resource Consent applications.

Tanya Wylie - Director

14 years' experience in structural engineering design and project management. Typical projects as Team Leader or senior Design Engineer include:- Commercial, industrial and residential building developments; Tunnel, bridge and suspended walkway construction; General design of steel, reinforced concrete, masonry and timber structures; Public buildings and recreational facilities.
