Thorburn's has established a long-standing partnership with Kelly Tarlton's Underwater World, one of Auckland's foremost visitor attractions.  Craig Thorburn's association with Kelly Tarlton's stretches back over many years, with Craig having spent 10 years as Curator of the famous aquarium from 1989 to 1999.  Thorburn Consultants have been heavily involved in recent major redevelopment works.  This has seen the complete replacement of the aquarium's main life support system and the creation of the exciting "Stingray Bay" feature, centred on a 350,000 litre open-topped, clear-sided viewing tank.  The works also included the installation of new sea-level observation windows and extended visitor facilities. Thorburn's have also had a long involvement with Kelly Tarlton's Antarctic exhibit, including the resident penguins.
