Thorburn Consultants have extensive experience in the design of new-build and refurbishment works for hotels and apartment complexes, including the design of indoor/outdoor pools and underground car-parking.

 

The Landings is a luxury apartment complex, located close to the former Auckland Railway Station, which has recently completed its final phase of construction.  Thorburn Consultants have been responsible for structural and civil design work on the project.

 

 

Thorburn Consultants undertook the engineering design for the Arena Hotel's new lap pool.  The project presented several engineering challenges, including the design of the three relatively slim supporting pillars to bear the load of such a significant volume of water.

 

 

Mirage Apartments, Auckland. Ten storey building with over 60 apartments, two floors of underground parking, a gymnasium and both an indoor lap pool and an outdoor lagoon-style pool.
